Southern Cross Suite
The Southern Cross is bright and cheery with a bit of a botanical feel. Lie in bed and watch the sun set on the Remarkables. With private balcony and half turret sitting room with window seating you can feel very at one with nature. It is a perfect spot to sit and watch the native Bellbirds and Tuis. There are stunning views of everything-the Remarkables, Lake Wakatipu, Cecil and Walter Peak, Battery Hill Park, and Pondering Point.
Have a look at the sitting room! This picture is special because it shows Cecil Peak rather than the Remarkables. Cecil from our home in the morning can be as beautiful as the Remarks. Locals remain in awe over the shades of her at sunrise. Freshly snow capped on a cold morning, Cecil will speak to your soul. The tea set was a gift from Kari's great Aunt Ruthie. It is Noritake and was hand painted in Japan before the Occupation. It is very dear to her heart.
